Day 22
Well, Fridays workout hurt my back. Yoga felt good on Saturday even though my back hurt. I really worked out on Friday and just did too much. Today I took it easy and when there was an option to do low impact I did the low impact instead of the high intensity option. I feel okay right now so hopefully I can keep it up and just take it easy. I have been watching myself on the lunges and making sure my knees don't go past my toes and it's helping a lot. Thank you Melissa!! My daughter Sierra noticed on Saturday that I was happy to be doing yoga. She asked me, "mommy, why are you smiling?" and I was thinking, "I am?" I guess I am really enjoying my workouts! :O)

awe that's really cute (sierra noticing you smiling)!
ReplyDeleteRight after I mentioned the knee thing to you, I started thinking about my leg muscles and not my knees when I do lunges and that really helped me. I think (and here goes that psychology kick again) that by thinking about my knees so much, I was sabotaging my lunges. I think about feeling the muscles now and boy do my leg muscles hurt when I'm doing them...so maybe I should start thinking about my knees again! lol (j/k)
hope your back feels better! I bet your recovery time is a lot faster now, than when you started exercising :).
I've been thinking about dropping this stuff off to you. Logan went through a growth spurt not too long ago (and is going through one now), so we have A LOT of clothes (size 18 months), and socks, as we just bought him some the day before yesterday. I found the sandals (for summer) and the vest that goes with that elmo outfit we gave to you guys not too long ago. I'll have to talk to Jason and figure out how to get to you later in the day, since it is better for you (unfortunately earlier is easier for us). I'll figure something out. Maybe I can drop it off on a weekend, since it wont be cutting into our family time too much.
Hope you have a great week! Off to take a shower!
Yes, that's another thing I started doing. I am thinking of my leg muscles and using them more than my kness to go up and down. 18 month size is perfect for Biran right now. He fits in 2 of the onesies you gave me before and the sweat pants, everything else he got too long for already. If you guys can come up on maybe a Monday, Randy usually has Mondays off so it's not a problem if we're too loud. Unless you wanna come up earlier and think Logan can keep quiet? I'm not sure how loud he gets? My kids can get loud, but they will get quieter when I tell them. Your more than welcome to come up earlier if Logan can keep it low key. Just let me know! :O)
